What We’re Looking For
We are looking for an enthusiastic and organized Social Media Marketing Coordinator to join our team. This is an entry-level position, perfect for someone who loves creating social media posts, is eager to learn, and wants to help raise awareness about Inclusion NS.
You’ll help create and manage social media posts, newsletters, and campaigns on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Mailchimp and LinkedIn.
As Nova Scotia enters a critical time of transformation of support and services for people with disabilities and their families, you will be part of a vibrant team that will directly impact and bring positive change to lives across the province. Above all, you will clearly and consistently communicate the organization’s unequivocal commitment to human rights, equity and inclusion.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage and create engaging content for social media platforms, websites, newsletters, and other channels.
- Develop marketing material to raise awareness about Inclusion Nova Scotia’s mission, programs, and initiatives with families, individuals and other stakeholders across the province.
Create Content
- Make and manage posts using tools like Canva, Meta Suite and Mailchimp.
- Work with the team to deliver content on time.
- Plan and stick to a posting schedule to keep people engaged and informed about events.
Do Research
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and innovative marketing techniques to enhance the organization’s outreach efforts.
Help with Newsletters
- Assist in planning and sending out our monthly newsletter.
- Help promote events online and follow up after they happen.
Track Performance
- Use tools like Meta Suite and Google Analytics to see how well our posts and campaigns are doing. Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing efforts, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement.
What You Should Bring
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to create compelling content for various platforms.
- Understanding of social media management, digital marketing tools, and content creation platforms, including Canva, MailChimp.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Basic skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Interest in social media trends and how to engage audiences.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well with others.
- Education and our experience in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field is an asset.
