MARKETING COORDINATOR

The URM is a faith-based, Christian organization dedicated to creating a safe, secure, inclusive space for anyone needing support in our community. We are looking for someone who has a strong gift in marketing and communication and in particular, in social media and website marketing tasks, coupled with a vibrant spiritual life in tune with God’s heart for the people we serve.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Support management in the marketing and communications efforts toward donors, sponsors and the general public.
• Maintain and grow our social media presence
• Support the development of blog posts
• Grow our email marketing efforts
• Write press releases and newsletters
• Be a natural creative content creator
• Photography and video skills an asset
• Great at storytelling
• Self-starter and creative thinker

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• A demonstrated portfolio of past project work
• Minimum of 3-years of related experience working in marketing and communications, social media or website content management
• Diploma or experience in marketing, communication and or creative writing.
• Highly motivated, compassionate, creative and responsible person
• Be passionate about helping the poor in our community
• Be open to creative direction and correction
• Be a creative thinker and be able to express stories in words and pictures
  Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
  Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
  Expected hours: 20 per week

• Report to the Executive Director.
• Combination of on-site and remote work / work from home a possibility, daily check-ins and reporting required
