SOCIAL MEDIA OFFICER

Australia’s largest public museum organisation is seeking a Social Media Officer to join Museums Victoria.

• Support the creation of and manage implementation of social media strategies, tactics and team guidelines/tools that align with Museums Victoria business goals.
• Work collaboratively with the Digital Platforms and Digital Content Studio teams, to support and promote Museums Victoria’s Digital Life Content and Channel Strategies.
• Work collaboratively with key organisational stakeholders and broader content contributors across Museums Victoria to support program, exhibition and Museum 24/7 initiatives.
• Perform research on current benchmark and industry trends, and audience preferences including new and emerging technologies, hashtag strategies and new or expanded applications.
• Set specific objectives and regularly report on ROI using social media monitoring tools.
• Administrate, generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news) across Museums Victoria multiple accounts and platforms.
• Administrate a content publishing schedule that spans organic and boosted content as well as CEO’s social media channels.
• Support Marketing Managers in regard to social media strategies, tactics and best practice in relation to their individual campaigns.
