Position Overview: We have an exciting opportunity for a creative and self-motivated Social Media Coordinator with a focus on Recruitment. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and tracking our social media strategy to enhance our industry presence and attract top talent. Your primary duties will include creating engaging content to boost our brand image and directly reaching out to potential candidates. The role will report to our Senior Management Team.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ Years of experience in marketing, communications, or recruitment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in marketing, social media, business, PR, or related fields is considered an asset.
  • Proficient in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, LinkedIn).
  • Strong writing, editing and communication skills.
  • Construction industry knowledge is considered an asset.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain a positive and upbeat attitude.

Responsibilities:

Social Media:

  • Build and improve our reach and following on social media with the specific goal of attracting employment candidates via Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and/or other social platforms.
  • Create visually appealing content including posts, images, videos and stories, to showcase our company culture, projects, job vacancies, and industry expertise, with the intent of recruitment.
  • Act as a brand ambassador by consistently representing and promoting our company’s values, culture and vision across all social media platforms.
  • Foster and maintain active engagement with our online community. Respond to comments, messages and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Track and analyze social media metrics to evaluate the performance of campaigns and content. Prepare regular reports on engagement, reach, recruitment and other key performance indicator to inform and optimize social media strategies.

Recruitment:

  • Proactively reach out to potential candidates through social media platforms using direct messaging. Engage with prospects to assess their interest in job opportunities, promote our company as an employer of choice, and document interactions for follow-up and progress tracking.
  • Develop and post engaging job advertisements and career related content across social media platforms. Ensure job postings are clear, appealing and optimized for maximum visibility to reach the right audience.
  • Utilize social media to identify, connect with, and build relationships with potential candidates. Cultivate a network of talent to support both current and future hiring needs.
  • Collaborate with the HR manager to design and implement social media recruitment campaigns. Highlight job openings, career opportunities, and recruitment events tailoring content to effectively attract and engage top talent.

Other Associated Duties:

  • Revamp and update the company website with current photos/material.
  • Send out a monthly newsletter, providing updates on company activities.
  • Assist with company outings and retention where needed, with the intent of growing the company culture.
