Description:
The American University in the Emirates is searching for an energetic and creative Social Media Specialist who will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring the company’s Social Media strategy across all platforms in order to increase the university’s online presence, improve Marketing efforts, and promote the university’s academic programs, events, and initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field in an accredited institution
- At least 2 years in managing social media platforms for a brand, institution, or organization.
SKILLS / TRAINING / KNOWLEDGE
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Proficiency in using social media management tools and analytics platforms
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of higher education marketing and an understanding of university culture is a plus.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Increase our online presence and improve our marketing and sales efforts.
- Develop, implement, and manage our social media strategy.
- Define most important social media KPIs.
- Manage and oversee social media content.
- Measure the success of every social media campaign.
- Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
- Use social media marketing tools.
- Attend educational conferences.
- Work with copywriters and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing.
- Collaborate with Branding and Digital Communication teams.
- Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network.
- Hire and train others in the team.
- Provide constructive feedback.
- Ability to develop and implement a corporate social media strategy.
- Ability to monitor online activity across departments and geographical areas to ensure anyone using the company’s online tools is following established guidelines and best-practice rules.
- Encourage greater social media participation.
- Perform any duties as assigned by the superiors
