Social Services Supervisor

REQUIREMENTS

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Licensed Master Social Worker credentialed from the Texas Department of State Health Services required.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate’s degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Supervise the daily activities of social services associates in assigned area.

• Determine, coordinate and supervise daily staffing assignments and staffing levels.
• Provide leadership, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to departmental clinicians. Assist with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Coordinate delivery of patient care and/or services with other members of the healthcare team to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
• Participate in direct delivery of patient care depending on need. Complete patient evaluations and treatments as needed.
• Participate in ongoing short and long range planning to help ensure the organization’s social services needs are met.
