Social Value Manager

JOB OVERVIEW

This newly established role has been created to drive Mitie’s social value objectives through the development of stakeholder and community relationships at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and across the Northern part of the UK.

• Developing and implementing social value plans with Mitie’s workstreams and supply chain.
• To engage with the community, leading initiatives contributing to local resilience, growth and economic
• development objectives.
• To establish and facilitate outcome driven, effective partnerships with stakeholders, local SMEs, key strategic local partners, employers and developers to ensure that social value benefits contribute to development of employment opportunities and skills.
• Supporting the People Business Partner in staff engagement to embed Mitie values and policies benefiting people and the environment.
• Develop strategic plan to for meeting Social Value objectives on the contract
• To maximise Mities community footprint
• To develop, implement and manage a performance management, monitoring and reporting framework for social value requirements and targets.
• To produce relevant briefings and reports on social value outcomes, with a particular focus on local economy, local labour, and apprenticeships.
• To develop a robust system which gives clear guidelines on setting, delivering, and reporting against their statutory and optional social value targets.
