ABOUT THIS JOB
Are you a passionate and dedicated Social Worker registered with Social Work England (SWE)? We are seeking someone with experience working with children and families in a statutory setting to join our Kinship and Adoption Team. This unique role is designed to holistically support children in securing permanent homes and a brighter future. In this role, you will work closely with professionals and agencies to progress permanency plans for Looked After Children. As an Adoption Social Worker and Supervising Social Worker for Kinship carers, you will operate in line with Adoption and Fostering legislation. Your responsibilities will include supervising Reg 24 carers, ensuring care standards, supporting carers, monitoring the welfare and progress of Looked After Children, and providing post-Special Guardianship Order (SGO) support.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POST
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, and a comprehensive screening process will be undertaken for successful applicants, including a Disclosure check. The postholder must have a social work degree and be registered with Social Work England.
