The work that is completed in learning disability is exciting and every day is never the same. You will get exposure to court work and working with adults with a duel diagnosis on top of their learning disability.
While the work can be often be demanding, complex and sometimes challenging in equal measures, it is also enabling your Social Work skills to be used to the full. Working with a diverse group of individuals, to promote their independence and advocate their decisions, views, and choices within their personal agreed outcomes. If you are looking for a social work job which provides variety, growth, and challenges then this may be the post for you.
