Your Opportunity:
The University of Alberta Hospital (UAH) Campus is one of Canada’s leading clinical research, and teaching hospitals, treating patients within a wide catchment area of the city of Edmonton, Northern Alberta, British Columbia, Northwest Territories and other parts of Canada. The hospital offers specialized diagnostic and treatment services to adult patients within Cardiac and Neurosciences, Surgery, Medicine, Orthopedics, Renal, Critical Care, Burns, Transplants and Trauma, as well as the specialty ambulatory clinics located across the hospital campus. The UAH provides and supports excellent learning opportunities through monthly discipline-specific and interdisciplinary professional practice events, communities of practice, and access to site-based rounds. Mentorship opportunities are available to further enhance professional growth by leveraging the vast collective experiences of other professionals on site. As a leading teaching hospital, it is expected all Social Workers support student clinical placements. The UAH is centrally located in Edmonton and is at the heart of the academic campus, Old Strathcona and the beautiful North Saskatchewan river valley.
