Description:
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Social Worker (SW) for the Whampoa Family Service Centre (WFSC) will manage assigned caseload and implement client intervention plans. This includes supporting the Centre’s casework system, providing information and referral services, and networking with community partners. The role also involves leading and supervising group and community work programmes, collaborating with organizations, and performing additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor and Centre Head.
Responsibilities:
A. Casework & Counselling:
1. Maintain a reasonable caseload.
2. Identify and assess client needs, then plan and implement appropriate intervention plans.
3. Support the Centre’s casework system, including administration, intake, referral, evaluation, and closure of cases.
B. Information & Referral (I&R):
1. Provide appropriate information and referral services to individuals seeking assistance from our Centre.
2. Support the agency’s I&R standard operating procedures, including administration, intake, referral, outcome follow-up, and case closure.
3. Network and outreach to residents and relevant partners in our community to identify and address community needs.
C. Group Work and/or Community Work Programmes Development
1. Plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate programs.
2. Collaborate with team members to develop programs and identify the needs of families in our community.
3. Liaise with organizations and partners to enhance work with families and the elderly within our community.
4. Engage, motivate, and collaborate with volunteers in programs involving staff.
D. Other duties:
1. Undertake additional responsibilities and duties as assigned by the Supervisor and Centre Head
