REQUIREMENTS
The successful applicant for this role should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A degree or diploma in Social Work, or a related field
- State licensure as a Social Worker
- Proven experience in social work practice, preferably in bereavement
- The ability to conduct assessments and address and mitigate risk and related issues to ensure the safety and well-being of participants
- Effective communication, empathy, and active listening skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in maintaining accuraterecords and documentation management
- Dedication to upholding ethical and professional standards
To work in residential aged care, you will need to provide satisfactory background checks, NDIS worker screening clearance, and a current year flu shot.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Regis Sunshine Coast homes are seeking a professional and compassionate Social Worker to support our residents and families. Your role, as a social worker is critical to our valued residents and families. Sit and have a cup of coffee at one of our on-site cafes and provide the compassionate service to assist families by facilitating and mediating conversations of major moments in their lives. This encompasses various life experiences, such as transitioning into aged care, grappling with challenging news, finding solace in the face of mortality, and navigating the journey of healing after the loss of a beloved family member.
Our Regis homes (Kuluin, Sippy Downs and Maroochydore) are based in stunning hinterlands of the Sunshine Coast, 10 mins from sandy beaches and just 7 minutes from the heart of the crystal waters and white sands of the Sunshine Coast. Our Regis homes are set amongst well-tended lawns, palm trees, verandas, sunny courtyards and a large outdoor areas shaded beneath sails.
This is a Casual opportunity, paying $60 per hour and you will spend 3 hours per fortnight at each home (12 hours per ft/n). Future opportunities to assist across additional Regis homes may be a pathway (if required) and offer career growth opportunities.
