IS Product Mission is to make sure we develop the system requirements configurable and customizable for different IS Projects with what it takes to adapt it for the legacy projects
The Software Analyst will work within the IS Product development team, responsibilities will include medium to complex critical systems analysis and component design and development for the same, automation and testing against the CBTC requirements in Hitachi Rail.

Key Accountabilities:

  • To manage the work package, lead the team and deliver the automation suite for FAT (Factory Acceptance Test).
  • To understand the existing system design, create/understand interface models and create a test plan in Gherkin feature as per CENELEC mandates in EN 50128 and EN 50129.
  • To find the issue in system requirements if it is not aligned with product strategy.
  • To automate the test plan and create automation suites around the overall software test and

subsystem test.

Safety:

  • Promote a safety culture where product safety is paramount
  • Ensure that safety is built into the design by early identification and resolution of safety related defects

    Behavioural/Soft Skills

  • Communication skills – Ability to communicate with different teams on the issues is crucial.

  • Lead the team to deliver product/project commitments for Factory acceptance test.
  • Engineer shall value diversity and inclusion culture.
  • On blockers and issues, lead shall be open to connect with team/Architect/Manager depends on the needs and sort it out.

Technical Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree / Master’s or equivalent experience in Electronics & Communication/Computer applications.
  • C++ coding exposure and AUTOSR MISRA C++ standards, OOPS concepts
  • Scripting (Python), automation
  • Exposure to CENELEC is highly valued. Boundary Value Analysis and Equivalency class understanding to create test cases are mandatory
  • Able to understand the CBTC domain specifics and read the existing requirements in DOORS
  • Create python language functions required to execute Gherkin test.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiar with Pytest BDD test framework is highly preferential.
