Job Title: Software Application Developer
Location: Remote with occasional onsite meetings
Clearance Level: Public Trust BI

SUMMARY

We deliver essential technology services to our customers in support of their missions to sustain the national security and economic interests of our nation. SecuriGence is seeking a Software Developer to support the Health and Human Services Administration for Community Living Enterprise IT Services Program. The Application Developer will collaborate with other developers, security professionals, and project stakeholders to create efficient, scalable, and secure applications. Help us solve problems with Innovation Through Intelligence.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • US citizen or Green Card holder, and current, or eligible for, Public Trust Background Investigation.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, preferably within a federal or government environment.
  • Proven expertise in full-stack development using Python, Java, .NET technologies, and proficiency in basic front-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery and React.js
  • Develop and maintain APIs to enable integrations with other systems, ensuring interoperability and data exchange. Experience with RESTful/SOAP, and other integration technologies.
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud (including Data Lake). Other cloud environments (AWS, Google) are also helpful.
  • Experience with databases like SQL, Postgres, and related database management systems.
  • Familiarity with development tools such as Git, Jenkins, and Docker.
  • Understanding of FISMA, NIST 800-53, and federal security standards.
  • Experience with secure coding practices and vulnerability mitigation.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement new software applications for the HHS ACL EITS program.
  • Maintain and improve existing applications, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.
  • Collaborate with the Application Development Architect to define application architecture and design patterns.
  • Conduct regular code reviews to ensure high-quality code and performance optimization.
  • Implement application security measures, ensuring compliance with FISMA, NIST, and other relevant federal security standards.
  • Troubleshoot and debug application issues, providing timely resolutions to ensure minimal disruption to end users.
  • Work closely with other developers, UX/Accessibility Analysts, and Cloud Infrastructure Architects to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Writer to ensure user manuals and documentation are accurate and accessible.
