Overview/ Job Responsibilities:

Sev1Tech is looking for a Software Applications Engineer to join our Army team supporting a PEO C3T critical mission. As a Software Applications Engineer, you will assist with the following on a team of two developers:

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features using .NET and C#.
• Design and write tables, views, and stored procedures for SQL Server.
• Create and modify SQL Server objects using .NET Core (currently using .NET 8) and T-SQL.
• Beyond the obvious “coding,” perform software testing and interface with users who have issues.
• Develop and update documentation and perform training when requested.
• Debug existing software and correct defects using C# and .NET; primary technical proficiency is SQL Server.
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
• Interpret scans and update code or provide rational for “false positives” if encountered.
• Interface with contractors, government civilians, and users to provide guidance, recommendations, scheduling, etc., in response to evolving polices and situations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Information Science or related field
• Minimum five (5) years combined experience in Software Applications Engineering
• Minimum two (2) years management experience
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented with strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Able to work in team environments across a diverse set of projects with multiple stakeholders
• Flexible mindset and able to adapt to change
• Comfortable working in a face-paced, process-driven environment following government regulations
• Able to step into other roles as needed
• A strong interest in learning and adapting to new skills/processes that may not be directly related to coding or other traditional developer responsibilities
• CompTia Security+ certification
• Key technical experience to include: SQL Server, C#, .NET 8, and Blazor Server App (preferred)

Desired Qualifications:

• DevOps and Automated Testing (Blazor or Razor experience preferred; Selenium is good)
• DevExpress DXperience, specifically with Blazor controls
• .NET Framework 4.x and ASP.NET Web Forms
• Any of the following certifications:
• CCNA Security
• CySA+
