ABOUT THE POSITION OF ARCHITECT

As a Software Architect you set the high level technical vision and translate that into implementable strategy, designs and roadmaps keeping team topologies in mind. In the initiation, discovery and delivery phase you work closely together with the other architects, engineers and business stakeholders to make sure we provide the best customer experience while keeping the target state in mind. To successfully deliver features you bring together and coordinate multiple teams and third parties.
You define implementable roadmaps with an MVP mindset while also striving for a balance between pragmatism and long term objectives. You weigh the pros and cons of different technical approaches and can translate those into a presentable format facilitating the decision making process.
In addition you are responsible for the oversight of our technical landscape and take the initiative to ensure quality and identify areas for improvement. You coach, mentor and challenge the teams on architectural principals and concepts.

Who we are looking for:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an (enterprise or domain) architect
  • Proven track record of driving architectural change
  • A background in engineering in complex environments
  • Cloud experience (GCP)
  • Deep Java knowledge, Kotlin is preferred
  • Deep understanding of API design and best practices
  • Extensive up-to-date knowledge of web based and cloud native technologies
  • Experience in security architecture is preferred
  • Experience in retail environment is preferred
  • TOGAF certified or similar is preferred
