Summary
We are looking for a “Software Architect (f/m/d)” for the “Ground Support and Cloud Solutions” department at the Ulm site as soon as possible.
The “Ground Support and Cloud Solutions” department is responsible for the design, implementation, integration and acceptance of ground support systems. These are software solutions that support customers in the programming and verification of their electronic warfare systems. The field of activity includes the recording of requirements, the management of software development and the procurement of hardware through to the integration and acceptance of the systems.
In the role of Software Architect (f/m/d) you are responsible for the implementation of the requirements in software solutions and control the software development and integration.

Your Tasks

• Conception and operation of topics in the area of Continuous Integration and DevOps
• Containerization and container orchestration (including with Kubernetes)
• Infrastructure management and automation with Terraform or similar
• Implementation of CI / CD tools (for example Gitlab or AzureDevOps)
• Development of distributed systems with distributed storage and load balancing
• Configuration and operation of application and web servers in hybrid environments
• Advising all technical managers and development teams involved in development and operation on technology and architecture issues

Your Profile

• Degree in computer science or comparable qualification
• Many years of professional experience in application development (C++, JAVA or similar)
• Experience in cloud development, containerization of applications and deployment of applications on cloud platforms
• Extensive knowledge of service-oriented architectures and RESTful APIs
• Experience in the integration of application components and in test automation
• Very good teamwork and communication skills
• Good knowledge of German and English
