The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is responsible for supporting the IT needs of UC Irvine faculty, students, and staff. Our mission is to provide information technology leadership, services, and innovative solutions to promote the research, education, and community service goals of the University.
The Enterprise Student Management System (ESMS) Graduate Division and Undergraduate Admissions IT team is responsible for supporting the IT needs of the UC Irvine Undergraduate Admissions Office and Graduate Division office. Our mission is to be an indispensable Information Technology partner for the Graduate Division Office and Undergraduate Admissions Office. We provide the highest quality of services, support, and innovative solutions to ensure the success of our business partners in a courteous, accurate, efficient, and timely manner. Our primary technology stacks and tools include: Java, React, HTML / CSS, MySQL / MSSQL, Git, Jenkins, Zena, Jira, ServiceNow, Linux + Apache + Tomcat, Windows Server, MVC Design Pattern, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and RESTful API.
Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the GD & UGA IT Manager, the Software Developer and Support Specialist applies skills as a software professional with a working understanding of industry best practices, community standards, and relevant policies and procedures for small to medium-sized projects or portions of larger projects. Resolves a variety of programming design and implementation issues. Works on programming assignments of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Enhances and maintains the key systems for the Graduate Division and Undergraduate Admission Office.
