Description:
Your role
We are currently looking for talented apprentice developers to join us on a fantastic journey and help us to build great applications and services across the Corpay product range. We work in partnership with the business to implement awesome products, using technologies such as React JS and .Net Core, SQL Server, Mulesoft.
You will collaborate closely with other software engineers and designers across multiple platforms and technologies to craft a beautiful application ecosystem that is consistent, highly useable, reliable and performant. You will also be a part of our community of practice to help identify new technologies which could be used to help us gain a competitive advantage in the dynamic payments industry.
What you’ll be doing
As an Apprentice Software Developer, you will be expected to have an understanding of Windows software development using the Microsoft .Net framework with C#.
In addition, you must committed to becoming highly skilled in the following:
- Web development using .Net MVC, JQuery, Javascript, CSS and HTML
- A working knowledge of developing windows service applications and PowerShell command-lets
- Experience of database design using Microsoft SQL, specifically the ability to write, test and debug stored procedures
- A working knowledge of service oriented architectures and micro-service development
- High degree of self-motivation and be able to learn using both own initiative and the provided training courses
- Strong communication skills
- Good time management
- You have a proven interest in coding through A Level/college course or online platforms like Code Academy and are seeking a Level 4 Software Developer apprenticeship.
- You can write good quality code with sound syntax. You will enjoy problem solving and want to develop your skills in analysis and design and you will be able to interpret functional/technical specifications and ask relevant questions about what you don’t understand.
- You can demonstrate an ability to problem solve, use your initiative, take responsibility, be organised and work independently.
- Willing and able to work remotely and feel confident using video chat
