THERE ARE A FEW REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:
- Must be a U.S Citizen (Green Cards / Visas do not qualify)
- Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation and maintain a personal security clearance. (Aquila would sponsor you for the security clearance.)
- Must be within commutable distance of Lexington, Massachusetts.
WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF THE FOLLOWING:
- Developing real-time control systems software for mechanical hardware assemblies
- Programming/scripting languages such as Java, C, Python, MATLAB, and shell scripting
- Publish-subscribe middleware, distributed systems, GPU computing, and real-time programming
- Familiarity with the architecture of x86-based computer hardware and UNIX-like operating systems
- Familiarity with basic UNIX system and network configuration and administration to the extent that it aids in software development
- Basic data visualization and display toolkits and methodologies
- Familiarity with, or a strong desire to learn about, processing and control of passive and active sensing technologies such as Radars and Infrared sensors
- Desire and ability to participate in field testing which may involve travel
- Experience with the Robot Operating System (ROS) and Gazebo robotics simulation software

Aquila is seeking a Software Developer to join our team in supporting one of the countrys premier defense research organizations. Aquila is seeking an experienced Software Developer will join a team topartner and collaborate with cyber security teams to ensure compliance with security standards. May develop and conduct unit tests.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops application software. Writing and implementing efficient code. Researches, designs, develops and implements software applications and systems. Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards. Evaluates, designs and implements interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, cloud offering, system architecture, security and characteristics of overall system. Researching, designing, implementing and managing software programs. Identifying areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing these modifications. Determining operational practicality. Documents testing, client experience and maintenance of system corrections. May partner and collaborate with cyber security teams to ensure compliance with security standards. May develop and conduct unit tests.
