We are seeking a skilled back-end developer to join our IBM Software team. As part of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality software products, working with a variety of technologies and programming languages.

Your Role and Responsibilities
As a key member of our dynamic team, you will play a vital role in crafting exceptional software experiences. Your responsibilities will encompass the design and implementation of innovative features, fine-tuning and sustaining existing code for optimal performance, and guaranteeing top-notch quality through rigorous testing and debugging. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do, and you’ll be working closely with fellow developers, designers, and product managers to ensure our software aligns seamlessly with user expectations.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 4+ years of experience
  • Experience with any one modern programming language like GO, Python, Java, Scala
  • Good hold on technology like Kubernetes, Microservices, Cloud Storage, delivery pipelines, and REST APIs.
  • Experience with integrated development environments eg: Eclipse, Visual Studio Code
  • Experience with Source control management eg Git: to enable teams to work together to manage changes to source code
  • Knowledge of Deployment tools like Jenkins, Travis: for ensuring the latest software release is packaged correctly, tested, and deployed to an application server.

About Business UnitIBM Watson Machine Learning provides a full range of tools and services allowing users to build, train, and
deploy Machine Learning models. IBM Watsonx.ai is our enterprise-ready AI and data platform designed to
multiply the impact of AI across customers’ business including support for new foundation models,
generative AI and machine learning. This position is part of the team responsible for building and managing
these exciting products.
As a software developer, you will be responsible for: Designing, coding, unit-testing, and perform FVT for
new functions while rigorously adhering to the team’s development processes. Working in close
collaboration with the development and QA team to ensure that defects found in are fixed in a timely
manner. The employee will be ultimately responsible for ensuring that any shipped code is delivered on
schedule and with quality.
Another duty will be to analyze and fix defects in existing products. Be part of open, transparent agile teams who always thrive for continuous learning and contribute towards
continuous improvement.
