Responsibilities:

As a Software Developer at Berkley Technology Services, you’ll work on our premium audit tool and loss control tool, focusing on both claims and policy sides. Your responsibilities include developing portals for document management and auditing, ensuring that surveys are conducted and data is accurately analyzed and reviewed. You’ll also address agent access issues, enabling them to review documents and claims seamlessly. Additionally, you’ll manage the process of sending out audits to insured parties and receiving their submissions. This role offers the opportunity to learn about integrating vendor applications and understanding firewall navigation for secure data exchange.

  • Demonstrates the capability to resolve routine problems within a system or process.
  • Can modify existing functionality or provide minor improvements with limited direction.
  • Demonstrates solid development processes including code review, documentation, and unit testing.
  • Work independently on multiple projects while meeting the timely needs of the customer.
  • May provide rotating on-call support of production systems.
  • Travel for this position is approximately 5-10%.

Qualifications:

  • 2 – 4 yrs. standard coder.
  • Must have demonstrated the capability of meeting the key accountabilities, or have the ability to learn/perform them.
  • 1-2 years of experience with .Net applications backend with C#
  • Experience with Angular is a plus
  • Software Development Life Cycle experience.
  • Ability to thrive and produce results with little or no supervision in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to interact seamlessly at all levels with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Strong customer service focus and sense of urgency.
  • Ability to quickly adapt and learn new technologies and systems.

  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in related field or equivalent experience.
