Your new role
We are looking for a Software Developer to compliment our internal team of developers. This role will support the current team working on new developments and enhancements to existing software.
This is an exciting time to join the DFS Technology Department as we strive to revolutionise the DFS Technology systems. The successful candidate will play an integral part in providing the business with information working with internal stakeholders and external partners to produce world class solutions to support the future growth of the business.

What you’ll be doing

  • Working as part of a team of developers
  • Helping to specify, develop & test new programs
  • Maintain and improve existing programs
  • Communicating with end users (stores, factories & Head Office) to ensure requirements are met
  • Produce user and technical documentation
  • Adhere to coding standards
  • Provide input into application improvement plans.

    The role is for you if…

  • Experience of design and programming on a variety of platforms and environments including AIX and Windows based operating systems

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Persuasive skills and ability to challenge and influence
  • Experience of REACT, C#, ASP.NET, HTML and IIS, Microsoft Visual Basic / .NET would be desirable
  • Experience of coaching junior team members is desirable
