Description:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Experience with any IDE (Eclipse, IntelliJ) and version control system (SVN, Git)
  • Knowledge of software languages such as Java, Python, SQL
  • Experience with any test automation tools like Selenium preferred
  • Knowledge of Jenkins and Jira preferred
  • Knowledge of Groovy or Gradle preferred
  • Knowledge with Linux systems

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

Pason is seeking a Software Developer in our Rigsite QA automation testing group for a 16-month term from May 2025 until Aug 2026. You will work in conjunction with the test automation developers and other Software Developers to deliver software solutions from the ground up.
You will be involved in every aspect of the software delivery cycle which includes brainstorming ideas, gathering requirements, designing, implementing, testing, and deployment of software applications. You will build upon your already strong programming skills to develop tools that automate all aspects of the software delivery pipeline which includes software builds, environment setup, test execution, and reporting. Aside from development skills, you will also be building up your soft skills by interacting with team members, end customers, and working on that perfect presentation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement automated scripts to improve test efficiency, including environment setup, test execution, and reporting
  • Be an integral part of enhancing the existing automation test framework
  • Develop and enhance new and existing data generators and simulators
  • Participate in project concept meetings to gather requirements
  • Effectively communicate your design and project requirements to the end customer by ways of info sessions, brainstorming sessions, and presentations
  • Be creative and think outside the box
