Morningstar Air Express Inc. (MAEI) is seeking an additional full-time experienced Software Developer at our Edmonton International Airport head office, reporting to the Director of Information Technology. The position involves development of custom in-house software that manages flights, crew members, aircraft, and safety.
Responsibilities:
Application Function and Uptime:
- Flight Tracking
- Crew Portal
- Safety Database
- Microsoft Access-based Flight Tracking
- Other in-house applications for MAEI and sister companies, as needed
Application Development:
- Analyze business needs in conjunction with stakeholders
- Prioritize development of enhancements and fixes with stakeholders
- Design and plan enhancements (fixes and features)
- Implement and test changes
- Deploy new changes
- Track problems and ensure good health of software systems
- Participate in maintenance of software group documentation of procedures, best practices, and code.
