MSX International (MSXI) is seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our CTO Organisation. We are a collaborative and innovative team dedicated to delivering advanced business solutions for the automotive industry.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

As a Software Developer, you will be integral in designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting both mature and new transactional systems. You’ll work with industry-leading and cutting-edge technologies to serve our leading automotive OEM clients globally.

In this role, the Software Developer will:

  • Application Development: Work on various global projects, developing new, maintainable, and scalable software platforms for a multi-tenant customer base.
  • Problem Solving: Analyse user needs and system requirements to create efficient and effective solutions.
  • Agile Collaboration: Operate within an Agile (Scrum) development team throughout the software development lifecycle, working closely with designers and product owners.
  • Full-Stack Development: Implement Java-based APIs and microservices, with opportunities to contribute to user-facing responsive and progressive web applications for those with frontend skills.
  • Testing and Maintenance: Write unit tests, conduct integration testing, and debug software to ensure functionality and performance. Maintain and enhance software to address issues and minimize technical debt.
  • Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers to maintain code quality and best practices.
  • Documentation: Write clear and comprehensive documentation to ensure understanding of the developed software.
  • Deployment and Support: Assist with software deployment, troubleshoot live issues, and provide second-level support to end-users facing technical challenges.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continually enhance skills and contribute effectively to projects.
  • Security: Implement security measures to protect systems and data from vulnerabilities and cyber threats.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Share expertise and knowledge with team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
