“Stibo Systems is recognized as a Champion in Master Data Management, delivering to some of the largest companies in the world. We are searching for a developer to join our platform team that work on core technology and functionality. The responsibilities of the team go all the way from customer needs to running software in production, continuously delivering technology upgrades as well as business functionality” says Kenneth Raundahl, Director of MDM Platform.
The role
In the role you will ensure that our software meets customer expectations working in small, cross-functional teams consisting of a product owner, a software architect, 2-3 developers, QA and associated UX specialists. You will refine, implement, and test as part of a team ensuring great solutions end up in the hands of our users.

Furthermore, you will:

  • Work in the very core parts of a large software product, resolving complex technical tasks writing secure, reliable, scalable, maintainable and testable code.
  • Work on technology upgrades and architectural changes to support our future vision
  • Contribute to our very large and continuously evolving automatic test suites.
  • See your work in the hands of large well-known brands across the globe, with customers in all continents.

Technologies

You will join a team that work on the core platform of our software, where we have a lot of complex challenges to solve. Some of the technologies we work with are listed below:

  • Cloud-native services enabling customers to consume data at scale using serverless technology: Azure Functions, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Event Hub, CosmosDB, Typescript
  • Creating new multi-tenant microservices for existing or new core functionality: Java, Kafka, Cassandra, Docker, Kubernetes
  • User interfaces – GraphQL, React, Typescript
  • Other: Java persistence tech JDO/JPA, Database (Oracle, Cassandra), Distributed Programming, Performance and load analysis and optimization, Java offheap , swagger, Gradle.

You don’t need to be an expert in all these technologies, but we expect you have a mindset that learning is a constant factor as a developer. Then we will support you in your learning journey, but core skills with backend Java are needed, it is a plus if you have an interest in typescript.
The Team
MDM Platform consist of several product development teams and Product Managers. We collaborate closely with business stakeholders, our CTO and several other product streams across the global R&D organization, using processes that follows an agile mindset.

We are looking for a profile with strong backend competences, if you are full stack that would be a bonus. We imagine that our new colleagues are service minded and believe in the art of the possible – we certainly do. Also, you have strong communication and cooperation skills enabling you to make long lasting relationships.

Moreover, you:

  • Have an educational background within computer sciences, engineering or similar.
  • Have experience with at least some of the technologies we use.
  • Have a positive and proactive mindset when it comes to challenges, paired with good problem-solving skills.
  • Have solid experience as Developer or the drive to become awesome within a timeframe.
  • Have a natural drive to keep improving yourself, both in your collaboration with other people and your development work.
  • Speak and write English well
