Position Summary
Data is a strategic asset of the organization charging all aspects of business decision making. This position will be a key role within the Data Product and AI Engineering team to provide solutions interacting with the data, powering real-time insights and services, and building generative AI solutions needed to realize business objectives. You will build software applications & solutions on EDA internal products and platforms to enable our internal business users to accelerate insights with Adobe data.
You bring a robust and outstanding background; combining software development and systems engineering to build and run scalable, distributed, fault-tolerant systems. The ideal candidate is able to design, test and implement applications, and is also fluent in systems programming and/or automation. This person demonstrates their experience to solving problems in running production environments.
This role demands exceptional communication, documentation and presentation skills along with the penchant to continuously learn about the latest application design and programming practices. Responsibilities
Ability to think independently, creatively, and critically, as well as seek and solve complicated problems.
Grow our product success by developing applications and providing production support to drive the success of Adobe’s real-time & AI engineering solutions
Build self-service tools to improve efficiency and time to market for data insights
Engage in application full SDLC, including system design consulting, creating new applications/frameworks/APIs, testing, observability planning, system sizing and launch reviews.
Scale systems through mechanisms, including automation, and evolve systems by innovating ways to improve reliability and velocity.
Collaborate with product managers and developers in supporting new features, services, releases, and become an authority in our services
Build observability solutions to improve the quality of our internal data products.
Document system design and procedures and runbooks
Participate in engineering on-call rotation and lead incident response postmortem analysis and review
Innovate new product features based on evolving customer requirements, market needs and technology landscape Required Skills:
Experience with Databricks ecosystem including – Spark, Python and Airflow
Experience with Kafka and related streaming technologies (Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, Spark Streaming)
Strong development background in one or more major programming languages like Python, Java, C/C++, Javascript, etc.
Experience developing APIs and microservices
Solid understanding of database and data warehouse platforms like: Databricks, MySQL, SQLServer, Oracle, RedShift
Experience with containers (Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, etc.)
Experience and confidence using the command line in Unix.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to achieve results independently
BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
4+ years of experience developing quality software Preferred Skills:
Experience building AI applications
Knowledge of web UI development and client-side skills HTML / CSS / Javascript / jQuery
Experience with modern cloud platform providers, including but not limited to AWS and Azure
Experience with build automation and configuration management systems (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible).
Exposure to NO SQL technologies; Redis, Cassandra, Mongo DB, Dynamo DB
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $108,000 – $198,500 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
