Join the team responsible for ensuring the highest quality for technologies at the heart of products known to surprise and delight our customers. Core Biometrics quality engineering is responsible for Touch ID, Face ID and Optic ID. We are part Core IO & Sensors team within Core OS and work on a broad spectrum of technologies spanning across Face ID, Touch ID, Optic ID, Ambient Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope etc. all the way to USB, Thunderbolt™, DisplayPort and accessory sub-systems. This is a highly entrepreneurial team, always looking for innovative ways to improve status quo and solve difficult problems in new and better ways. Successful candidate will need to get hands-on with test automation and while developing deep understanding on the underlying technologies. You will work in a fast paced environment, interacting directly with development teams within the organization as well as cross-functional teams. The nature of the position requires excellent communication skills, strong technical and debugging skills, along with a drive to make a difference.

DESCRIPTION

Own overall quality strategy and testing of a technology area Design and develop effective automated tests using deep knowledge of the technologies involved Create automation solutions including possible applications of emulation, virtualization and/or robotics Drive investigation and analysis of issues spanning across the hardware and software interaction layers Work closely with development, project management and cross-functional parters to drive excellence of quality

• Skilled in Python programming
• Solid OS fundamentals (experience with iOS and macOS as a developer)
• Excellent collaborative skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proven ability to ramp up quickly on both new technologies and appropriate existing technologies.Highly professional, with the ability to deliver solid work on tight schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with C and/or C++
• Experience with computer systems management (monitoring, updates, networking, automation, etc.)
• Experience with developing testing and automation frameworks
• Experience with performance analysis, stress tests, and scalability assessments
• Data analysis - Ability to analyze, model and interpret data
