ABOUT THE ROLE: SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER IN TEST (SDET)
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), where you will face unique challenges in testing our optimization-based technology.
Our solutions drive manufacturing processes that generate hundreds of millions of dollars annually. The complexity of the systems we model and the trillions of alternative solutions we evaluate make interpreting the output of our technology a significant challenge.
Our customers rely on us to deliver robust, resilient, and secure products to run their mission-critical operations, and quality assurance is essential to our success.
Over the next 12 months, we are expanding our product offerings and increasing the number of factories we support, which will require even more automation. We generate more than 10,000 schedules daily to operate hundreds of multimillion-dollar semiconductor manufacturing equipment in photolithography, etching, metal deposition, and metrology.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- As an SDET, you will be a pivotal part of our engineering team, working across multiple products, product teams, and our platform engineering team. You will define, plan, execute, and implement testing strategies across our tech organization, driving QA initiatives that foster a culture of delivering high-quality software to our customers.
- Own and implement the test strategy, ensuring that engineers validate their work and contribute to automation testing.
- Develop and maintain automated test suites, including integration and end-to-end tests.
- Develop tools for integration, regression, load, and performance testing.
- Conduct manual testing and sign-off on features impacting mission critical operations in semiconductor fabs.
- Work within product teams to deliver quality software.
- Develop new testing plans for pre-release phases.
- Lead exploratory and manual testing efforts.
- Mentor, coach engineers on best testing practices, promoting a healthy testing culture
- Contribute to product development, identifying and addressing gaps in design and testing.
- Ensure all releases meet customer-, business-driven quality standards before deployment.
- Work closely with Product Managers to define requirements and go-live criteria.
- Gain a deep understanding of customers and the domain to effectively anticipate and test edge cases.
- Report to senior engineering leadership (VPoE)
