Description:
Job Advert
At Radius, we provide best in class fleet and connectivity solutions to businesses of all sizes.
Our mission is to help businesses adapt to the future by building solutions for a more sustainable, connected future.
Our comprehensive portfolio of solutions includes fuel cards, telematics, telecoms, insurance, vehicle leasing, EV charging, business energy, and expense management.
We are proud to have over 400,000 customers worldwide, over 50 offices across 5 continents, and over 2,800 talented Radius colleagues.
Our vehicle telematics business is going from strength to strength, with a new purpose built office in Crewe, an expanding product portfolio and significant growth plans for the future.
This is where you come in…
Responsibilities:
The role of Software Development Manager in our telematics business is incredibly important to us.
In this role, you will manage and grow a talented team of developers focussed on the internal systems that support our world-leading telematics products.
In addition to line management of the team, you will be heavily involved in the planning and coordination of development projects and associated tasks and workloads.
Technical analysis, development, projects, and support are the key to everything we do to deliver success and innovation at Radius. Our teams work using both agile and waterfall project methodologies and are constantly reviewing, adopting and using new technologies as well as assessing new approaches to solving the varied, complex and dynamic problems we face in our business.
To be successful in this role you will need to develop an excellent understanding of the complex architecture and functionality of our IT landscape, in order to assess change impact, direct development teams and advise on business and technical initiatives.
Whilst it will be helpful to have hands-on development experience with modern technologies (this team works with Java and .NET), the planning and team leading elements of this role are considerably more important.
The role reports to our Senior Development Manager and is based from our new Telematics head office in Crewe, Cheshire.
