Description:

Netskrt Systems is seeking a dynamic and experienced Software Development Project Manager to oversee our software development projects from inception to completion. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, ensuring project goals are met on time and within budget, and fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and excellence. We are a highly motivated team, dedicated to delivering products and services that improve the customer experience when accessing internet video at the edges of the network. We are developing a set of inter-related technologies targeting businesses that offer WIFI to their customers but which have limited bandwidth.Netskrt offers the opportunity to collaborate with teams experienced in storage, networking, analytics and cloud technologies. As part of the engineering team, you will have the opportunity to manage the full SDLC process to solve challenging problems in a startup environment, working with accomplished engineers and a leadership team with a proven track history of success. This position is located in downtown Vancouver in a hybrid work environment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in software development (3+ years preferred).
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana).
  • Experience with risk management, critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • PMP, Scrum Master, or similar certification is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)

Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and budget.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project delivery.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all software solutions meet quality standards and fulfill client requirements through effective testing and validation processes.
  • Agile Methodologies: Implement and manage Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, to optimize project delivery and efficiency.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track project progress and performance metrics, adjusting as necessary to stay on course.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including requirements, progress reports, and retrospective analyses.
