Description:
Are you an experienced software developer and interested to work with real important products? Are you motivated by working for a successful company that innovates with a more sustainable food production? Then we might be a good fit!
DeLaval is a leading developer, manufacturer and supplier of system solutions for dairy farmers globally. As a company built on innovation, we constantly work to find ways of helping our customers do more with less. DeLaval is part of the Tetra Laval Group.
As a developer you will be part of the Farm Automation (FA) team. The FA team is developing our embedded/back end applications running in our System Controller and related mobile applications. We are in the center of a complex system, enabling dairy farm applications from neighboring SW teams, such as milking devices, automatic milking robots, wireless systems to digital services in the cloud and a lot more. We are a collaborative team working according to Scrum and releasing in a regular cadence.
Being in the center of the system you will be collaborating with many different stakeholders including the software teams, product owners, architects and hardware teams.
We are currently creating new products in software which enables several new technologies that will be central to the work in the position and with several teams.
The position is based in Tumba, Sweden but we offer a hybrid workplace. You will be reporting to one of the Software Managers.
REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in this role you need to have several years of experience in Java or Python coding.
You have the following software engineering proficiencies
- Design and system architecture
- Coding
- Working with requirements
- Automated testing code
- Embedded, real time or performance focused coding
- Experience of developing a new system vs maintaining and refactoring an existing system
We believe that you have a technical education and software development experience.
As a person we believe that you are a team player who is not afraid of taking initiatives and reaching out to other parts of the organization to find the best solution. This requires solution thinking, communication, and coordination skills. You should be curious and eager to learn, not just your own applications, but also the surrounding systems as well as the dairy farm domain in general.
In addition to above requirements, we believe that you have experience working in a company with software products, you have a work permit in EU and you are fluent in Swedish and English or a desire to learn Swedish.
