DEPARTMENT SUMMARY:

The N113 Integrated Space Command and Control (C2) Department works as trusted advisors with its government sponsors across space warfighting, acquisition, and other mission partners as they architect system integration efforts to successfully incorporate new technologies and software applications in support of a resilient space C2 enterprise.
Additionally, N113 performs prototyping activities including class-leading modeling, simulation, and analysis capabilities designed to enable MITRE and sponsor-driven analysis and research in all space mission domains across multiple customers, missions, and technology providers. The research, development, and outcomes of these efforts provide high-quality, comprehensive, quantitative insights for senior government decision makers shaping the future of our nation’s Space policy, operations, and systems.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Typically requires less than 1 year of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience
  • Experience using software languages such as Java, Python, MATLAB, C, or C++
  • Ability to develop and execute physics-based modeling/simulation to support critical analysis of live data and simulation results for recommendations and lessons learned
  • Self-starter capable of working in a dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated ability to complete tasks, drive projects to closure, and assimilate and correlate project information in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to reach out to technical experts
  • Excellent technical writing and presentation skills
  • Strong motivation to expand knowledge and skills
  • Flexible thinker with the ability to quickly deliver results, recommendations, and achieve impactful outcomes
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance
  • This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Applied experience with Agile and Scaled Agile Framework practices
  • Experience using software tools such as GitLab, Jira, Confluence, and Artifactory
  • Development experience with web software technologies and languages, web design, and interactive web-based systems and applications
  • Experience in cross-platform, multiple environment development
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and apply knowledge of a technical domain to software development, particularly in the Space domain to include operational space C2, tactical space C3, systems engineering, and AI/ML.
  • Prior experience with Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community, or Space customers and/or companies.
