Description:
ABOUT THE COMPANY:
Our client is an investment adviser with over $20 billion in AUM focused on investing in global credit and special situations. The Software Engineer will join the core development team and will be responsible for building in-house systems along with integrating and customizing third-party applications critical to the operation of the firm.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science required
- 3-8 years of software engineering experience
- Strong experience with Java or C# development
- Experience developing SQL and stored procedures
- Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell a plus
- Experience with DevOps, C/I, and GIT a plus

Responsibilities:
- Develop, support, document, and test the firm’s custom .NET straight-through processing trade platform, portfolio management platform, as well as other business-critical .NET platform functions – including research, pricing, financing, trade settlement, compliance, diagnostic, and workflow modules
- Develop, support, document, and test custom integrations for third-party platforms such as Unit4 Agresso, SharePoint, and IntegriData
- Write well organized and thought-out documentation using Confluence
- Identify performance bottlenecks and system bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
- Work directly with the project management and business teams to translate application requirements into functional applications
