SOFTWARE ENGINEER (C#)

About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Software Engineer (mid-career/Senior) to join our team to help grow and improve our new product. This is an opportunity to lead and own the successful delivery of new initiatives across all aspects of our platform.

• Tech stack: C#, MySQL, InfluxDB, Matlab hosted in AWS
• Support real-time trading and research activities
• Work on complex, big data, high-throughput, real-time systems
• Use the full breadth of your knowledge across all facets of IT
• Small, supportive team of hardcore computer science and Unix geeks
• Melbourne CBD-based hybrid role, (2 - 3 days/week in the office)

About YouYou will be a dedicated, self-starter who has significant experience working with complex business critical systems. You will be naturally inquisitive, enjoy learning and thrive in environments that encourage new ideas. You will have a passion for delivering high quality projects that improve the business, and your skills and experience will likely include:

Ultimately, if you love Unix, computer hardware and networks, you will fit right in.

• C#/.Net Core
• RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Big data
• DevOps, including IaC
• AWS, including CloudFormation, CloudWatch, EC2, ECS, RDS and Fargate
• CICD pipelines such as Jenkins and Bitbucket or Git
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with complex big data, real-time, high-throughput systems
• Experience with financial trading systems
