We are seeking a talented Software Engineer with a strong sense of DevOps culture to play a crucial role in migrating our CI/CD processes from Gerrit/Jenkins to GitHub/GitHub Actions together with other team members. This position is not just about the migration; once completed, you will shift your focus to software development for our IoT Hub and cloud applications. You will be joining a team that embraces DevOps principles and values collaboration, automation, and continuous improvement. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in software development with a strong background in CI/CD pipeline development and migration.
  • Proficiency in Git, GitHub, and GitHub Actions.
  • Familiarity with Jenkins and Gerrit.
  • Experience in programming languages such as TypeScript and Go.
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms and services, preferably AWS or GCP.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK).
  • Strong communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively within a highly DevOps-driven team.
  • Good knowledge of Linux, with a preference for Linux as the default working environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of IoT applications and embedded systems.
  • Understanding of agile methodologies and DevOps principles.

    This is a full-time position located in Malmö at IKEA of Sweden. IKEA of Sweden is responsible for developing the IKEA range and making it available to stores and customers all over the world.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and understand our current CI/CD pipeline utilizing Gerrit and Jenkins.
  • Design and implement a new CI/CD workflow using GitHub and GitHub Actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth migration.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues throughout the migration process.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and training materials related to the new CI/CD processes.
  • Contribute to the software development of our cloud applications and our IoT Hub for home automation solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices.
