Description:
We are looking for a talented and experienced Software Engineer in Cloud Native Development. You will work closely with the application team, cloud team and application vendor for application migration or implementation in AWS Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) and Implementation and configuration of Cloud Services.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum 4 years of software development experience
- Proven proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, .Net, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python) and cloud development
- Demonstrated expertise in Agile methodologies and project delivery
- Strong foundation in automated testing (unit, integration, functional, TDD, BDD)
- Experience with application tracing/observability tools (e.g., OpenTelemetry)
- Proficiency in build automation tools (Maven, Docker)
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and execute Terraform Infrastructure as Code to support application teams
- Troubleshoot technical challenges by leveraging Proof of Concept, AWS Technical Support, or Cloud Infrastructure resources
- Design, develop, and implement software solutions using Agile methodologies
- Investigate and resolve issues through scripting and SQL query development
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and Quality Engineers to refine user stories, automate testing, and address defects
- Partner with deployment and DevOps teams to establish continuous integration, build, and release automation
- Provide accurate story estimates during Agile sprint planning
- Create automated unit test cases based on acceptance criteria
- Provide on-call support for production issues
- Champion Agile best practices including test-driven development, pair programming, and refactoring
- Participate in application deployments across various environments
