THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a talented Software Engineer - Development Operations to support a world class airborne surveillance, communications and battle management system, the AEW&C Wedgetail E-7 International Program. The role is based in Brisbane, Queensland.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience in the IT industry where you gained system admin skills and have worked with various software development and configuration management tools, such as:Window and Linux experience, including virtualisation and networking knowledge is an advantage
- Gitlab,
- Devops Security Scanning tools.
- Exposure to Scrum - agile project management framework would be beneficial
- Knowledge the Australian Information Security Manual (ISM), Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF) and the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) is a bonus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements

- Enhance software development environments to improve the build and deployment process and troubleshoot issues with technical experience and expertise
- Ensure systems and processes meet security, business and customer needs. Supporting developers and testers with good practice
- Work as part of a team contributing to security planning and implementation in the software development environment and production systems
