Software Engineer (Focus on UI)

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Prior experience working with Java Servlet Pages (JSPs).
• Solid experience with JavaScript and with one of the major JavaScript MVC frameworks (Backbone.js & React).
• Working experience with Node.js .
• Working experience with HTML and CSS including how to work around browser quirks.
• Experience with Java or other object-oriented programming languages.
• Experience in RESTful API design.
• Good grasp of software engineering designs, principles, and practices.
• Prior experience in authentication, identity, single sign-on, security a plus.

• Developing the core framework that serves as the foundation for UI development across all the company’s engineering teams.
• Developing tools that improve UI development process and speed.
• Collaborating with UX designers and various UI teams to identify common patterns, styles, and components that need to be integrated into the framework, enabling other product teams to build elegant UIs efficiently.
• Analyzing and refining requirements with UX and UI teams for common reusable components, patterns, and styles to be developed within the framework.
• Building reusable components to help other teams implement UIs with a rich and consistent look and feel.
• Coordinating with management and architects to scope and plan engineering efforts and dependencies.
• Implementing unit and functional tests, as well as conducting design and code reviews.
