Summary
We are looking for a “Software Engineer for Radar Test Systems (f/m/d)” in the “Airborne Radar Test Equipment Software” department at the Ulm or Immenstaad site as soon as possible.
The “Airborne Radar Test Equipment Software” department deals with the development of algorithms and software for radar environment simulators. Equally complex test systems are required for the integration and verification of modern, increasingly complex radar systems.
The range of tasks for their development extends from the conception of new algorithms for the precise simulation of radar targets or for the simulation of processes in the radar to be tested to the design and implementation of real-time software for target simulation with the radar in real time.

Your Tasks

  • Development of real-time software for radar test systems (Radar Environment Simulator)
  • Analysis of software requirements, evaluation and definition of suitable software architectures
  • Implementation, testing and verification of the software
  • Support with the integration of the test systems into the various radar system test environments
  • Creation of the necessary project documentation
  • Participation in the planning of tasks including estimation of development efforts

Willingness to travel is required.

Your Profile

  • Completed scientific studies in the field of computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering, physics or similar
  • Professional experience in the development of embedded real-time software based on multicore platforms
  • Experience in agile development processes and software variant management advantageous
  • Experience with continuous integration / continuous delivery advantageous
  • Very good knowledge of the programming languages C, C++ and good knowledge of Python
  • Knowledge of the Ada programming language advantageous
  • Good knowledge of Linux advantageous
  • Very good analytical skills and quick comprehension
  • Strong ability to work in a team and high social competence
  • Business fluent German and very good English skills
