THE TEAM YOU WILL JOIN

The Digital Enablement team delivers solutions to MetLife and its customers across the EMEA region. We design, develop, implement and support applications that ensure consistent process, products and efficiency of delivery across the region. We operate in ADM with team members across EMEA to enable EMEA Technology deliver best in class applications, security and delivery.
We are looking for a candidate with developments skills that we can help grow in an environment promoting teamwork and innovation.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Java, Angular, SQL.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Participate in code reviews to learn and adhere to best practices.

WHAT CAN GIVE YOU AN EDGE (ADDITIONAL SKILLS)

  • Experience working in an Agile environment using SAFE Agile methodology is an added advantage.
  • Experience of Azure DevOps: boards, code repository and pipelines
  • Experience working in Software development team with working knowledge of estimating work, handling tasks and interacting with team members

Responsibilities:

  • Candidates will assist in developing application functionality, implement solutions for diverse countries, participate in post-implementation reviews of both application development content and process plus the support model to maximize and share learning.
  • Participate in daily calls to estimate, analyse, plan and develop required changes
  • Assist in optimizing application performance.
  • Contribute to documentation of system architecture, design, and code.
  • Continuously learn and stay up-to-date with Java technologies and development trends
