As a Software Engineer (Android), you will work alongside a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers and designers to create a world-class experience for our Flipp app users. In this role, you will own the full SDLC to develop scalable, secure, robust and user-friendly solutions in order to meet business demands. You will provide mentorship for more junior developers to help grow the technical capabilities of the team, and contribute to larger technical initiatives across the Engineering organization.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, estimate, implement, test, and deliver features and improvements on the roadmap
- Address performance issues, fix bugs, and refactor code to improve Flipp’s internal and open source packages
- Contribute to the design of software systems and services
- Design and write automated test cases
- Implement and enforce industry best practices within the team
- Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other team members
- Collaborate with the project owner and technical leadership to distill requirements for upcoming features
- Mentor junior engineers, interns and co-op developers to develop their technical abilities
