Overview
The Xbox Graphics team is seeking a Software Engineer II - Xbox Graphics team mate who is excited to work on state-of-the-art graphics drivers, compression, and emulation systems. Our diverse team works at the intersection of hardware and software to provide industry-leading game development technology. Working closely with hardware engineers and game developers, we define the future of graphics and game development.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR equivalent experience.
2+ years of experience working at low levels of software stack, device driver development, emulation systems, firmware, and/or integration of hardware and software.
2+ years experience developing graphics, firmware, compression, or emulation systems.
Other Requirements
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR equivalent experience.
4+ years of experience working at low levels of software stack, device driver development, emulation systems, firmware, and/or integration of hardware and software.
Knowledge and experience with graphics and GPU hardware
Experience and knowledge in operating system development in either user-mode or kernel-mode development.
Communication/customer interfacing skills and the ability to deal with ambiguity and prioritize issues.
Product Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $83,600 - CAD $159,600 per year.
