JOB DESCRIPTION
We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to take your software engineering career to the next level.
As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Digital and Platform Services team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Experience in one or more programming language(s) as a full-stack developer using modern technology: React JS, Spring Boot, Kafka, micro services, APIs, Java, AWS Cloud, etc.
- Practical AWS cloud native experience preferably on EKS, PostgreSQL, etc.
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Demonstrate understanding of Agile methodologies, CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Exposure to building internet scale platforms for digital applications with strong background knowledge of OOPS and industry best practices
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS
- Strong understanding of Java concurrency, concurrency patterns, and experience building thread safe code
- Experience with design patterns (e.g., Gof4, enterprise patterns, etc.)
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems

Responsibilities:
- Design/develop creative software components, with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions
- Develop secure high-quality production code, and debug code written by others
