Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead the technical design and implementation of new features and capabilities for a highly scalable, secure communication platform that impacts the lives of doctors, nurses, and patients?
As a Software Engineer III at TigerConnect, you’ll be responsible for building and maintaining the infrastructure that powers the future of healthcare communication. We’re seeking a hands-on platform engineer who has built multiple large-scale distributed services and is passionate about solving challenging problems. This hybrid position is based in our Mexico City technology hub, and you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with our engineering teams worldwide.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Delivering ongoing feature and performance improvements for the leading healthcare communication infrastructure
  • Developing and maintaining highly scalable and resilient microservices using a set of programming languages, not limited to Java, .Net, Erlang, or Elixir
  • Working closely with the client and product teams to refine requirements for technical implementation
  • Helped architect, design, and develop high-availability systems while creating and maintaining technical documentation. Delivering innovative technology solutions that enable new product features and ongoing performance improvements
  • Troubleshooting and resolving production issues and ensuring that the platform meets the highest levels of security and compliance
  • Implementing unit testing, deployment, and monitoring processes to ensure high-quality code and fast turnaround times

What You Bring:

  • An insatiable appetite for learning new approaches, technologies, and architectures and the maturity to apply these judiciously
  • A BS degree or higher in CS, EE, or related discipline
  • 4-5 years of experience in software engineering
  • Experience in Java or .Net is required; additional experience in functional/asynchronous is a plus (Erlang & Elixir)
  • Experience with microservices architecture, RESTful API design, and distributed systems
  • Experience in cloud platforms; AWS preferred
  • Experience or knowledge of messaging brokers (for example, Apache Kafka, SQS)
  • Knowledge of relational databases and NoSQL databases
  • Experience building highly scalable, resilient high availability systems
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools beyond Grafana and Kibana (e.g., Prometheus, Influx DB)
  • Understanding of cloud-based caching solutions (AWS ElastiCache, Azure Cache for Redis, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
