JOB SUMMARY:
As an Medefy Software Engineer-IV you’ll join the forefront of healthcare innovation, you’ll help lead impactful teams, mentor through technical challenges, and shape the technical and architectural perspective for the next strategic roadmap. This role will focus on impacting teams/squads’ deliverables for quality, value, and speed. Your leadership will extend to mentoring teams through technical challenges and career growth. This role often takes on delivery lead responsibilities, bringing cohesiveness to the team and focusing on the strategic roadmap.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Occasionally move inside the office to access file cabinets, office machines, etc.
- Prolonged periods of being stationary at a desk and working on a computer
- Communicating with others to exchange information via typing
- Must have close-range clarity of vision with or without corrective lens
- Ability to simultaneously address multiple complex problems; Multitask without loss of efficiency or accuracy, able to perform duties from multiple sources
- Interact appropriately with a variety of individuals including customers, clients, and vendors and under adverse circumstances
- Must maintain regular attendance and be punctual
- Must be able to exercise independent judgment and make sound decisions

Responsibilities:
- Deliver on product roadmap and customer issue commitments
- Assist in running team rituals
- Develop and maintain unit and functional tests
- Mentor lower-level engineers through technical challenges and career growth
- Maintain high standards through architecture and code reviews
- Guide the team towards deliverables through grooming/planning
- Impact teams/squads’ deliverables for quality, value, and speed
- Mentor teams through technical challenges and career growth
- Lead from a technical and architectural perspective focusing on the strategic roadmap
- Performs other duties as assigned
You must have at least the following:
- Associates or higher degree in Software or Engineering discipline or code school graduate
- 5+ years’ experience working as a Software Engineer
- Focused on impacting teams/squads’ deliverables for quality, value, and speed
- Practical experience, including freelance or contributions to open source
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills
- Self-starter, self-motivated attitude, and willing to take initiative
- Experience working with GIT and one or more CSPs (Cloud Service Providers) such as AWS, GCP or Azure
It would be great if you have:
- Tech savvy (we are a SaaS company after all)
- Experience in any of the following areas: health insurance, employee benefits, insurance brokerage, HR, telemedicine, general healthcare
