JOB SUMMARY

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, qualified individual to fill the Mid-Level Software Engineer position. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse and talented group of individuals committed to driving success.
This hybrid position offers a flexible work arrangement, with up to 3 days in the office and 2 days remote per week. The role is a 12-month term position, with the potential for renewal in six-month increments, and involves direct support for Amazon Kuiper’s Secure Network Operations Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering software and hardware infrastructure, including the design and implementation of the operations center software architecture, defining requirements, creating Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), producing hardware block diagrams, and conducting associated trade studies to optimize system performance.
Job Requirements:

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• 4+ years of experience developing and delivering the following areas:
• Software Architectures
• Requirements Specifications
• Block Diagrams
• Interface Control Documents
• Trade Study Development and Assessment
• Hardware Block Diagrams
• Operational Procedures, protocols, and escalation processes associated with incident management and customer support
• Ability/Direct Experience in setting up network Operations Centers, ensuring it is equipped with necessary hardware, software and communication tools to support 24/7 operations
• 4+ years of experience Software Development and Network Establishment

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in software/computer engineering, or a similar technical field is required
• 4+ years of experience Software Development and Network Establishment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
