Position Overview: Our Software Engineers play a crucial role in the backend development, architecture, and maintenance of our CourseLeaf software products. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
This position is located on-site at our beautiful Coralville, Iowa office, with opportunities to establish a hybrid or remote schedule.
This position is eligible for remote work within Iowa (preferably) and in the following states only – California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin.
Per company policy, hybrid and remote work arrangements will be reviewed periodically to ensure a remote work arrangement remains viable for both the employee and Leepfrog Technologies Inc.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Generally, this position is considered sedentary. Time will be spent sitting and using office equipment and computers. The Software Engineer will have their own office but will be faced with regular interruptions.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement DRY, efficient, and maintainable code using primarily JavaScript, in accordance with industry best practices.
- Conduct thorough code reviews, providing constructive feedback and contributing to new ideas to the team.
- Collaborate internally to design scalable and maintainable backend architectures and externally with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks, bugs, and other issues to ensure the reliability and scalability of our software.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends and apply this knowledge to enhance our software development processes.
