JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a self motivated individual to help move forward the next generation public safety experience, and to work with a team of top experienced professionals to enable mission critical services and solutions.
In this position you will work as a software engineer within a scrum team and will be responsible for designing, implementing and testing solutions for a variety of landmobile wireless communications products. The role of the software engineer includes, but is not limited to, full lifecycle development using agile development methodologies. Your tasks will also involve hands-on interaction with product hardware and lab equipment for development, testing, and debugging.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors (BS) or Master’s (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • Experience with C/C++ and object oriented development
  • Experience with Linux and/or Unix
  • Advanced debugging skills

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Basic understanding of virtualization technologies such as Docker, Podman etc.
  • Experience with Python
  • Exposure to Agile development practices
  • Experience with Git, Jira
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work with and debug legacy code
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Understanding of real time processing in an embedded environment
